Catherine Stagg-Macey

Leadership and systems coaching

Catherine Stagg-Macey, PCC, BSc, BPsych is an advisor for expert-turned-leaders who've outgrown doing it all themselves, but who haven't yet figured out how to lead at scale. Current clients of her firm, Conversations at the Edge, include senior consultants turned practice leads, technical specialists now in VP roles, and startup founders scaling beyond their scrappy early days. Her approach is to track multiple layers simultaneously: patterns they can’t see, parallels in their life, and gaps between proven track records and current doubts. Catherine blends cognitive precision with relational depth using the coaching dynamic as live data. She helps leaders recognize their unconscious decision-making strategies, shift from future-focused anxiety to present-moment clarity, and build self-trust that makes external validation unnecessary.

Catherine spent 20+ years in the corporate trenches, from project management to advising PE firms on tech investments. She understands the transition from being the smartest person solving problems to needing to develop others. In her last corporate role, Catherine built a European team for a niche American consulting firm, socializing big ideas in innovation and technology for the insurance industry. She was responsible for growing the team, sales, partnership development, and growing the brand.

Catherine’s first degree was a BSC Computer Science followed by a psychology degree in South Africa. She is certified with Coaches Training Institute as an individual coach (PCC-ICF), CRR Global as a systems and team coach (ORSCC), and with the Leadership Circle Profile (360 tool). She's a trained DJ and dance facilitator with 5 Rhythms and a Lego Serious Play Facilitator.
