Different Wisdom

Olivier Larvor

Leadership, teams, and systems

Olivier Larvor thinks we are living through a strange transition: the old world is coming apart, and the new one is not here yet. Some people call this a meta-crisis. Much of what organizations have relied on, in leadership and in the way we work, is becoming less useful.

Olivier is less interested in helping people fit into systems that no longer make sense, and more interested in what happens when we admit we do not know what comes next. Can we stay with uncertainty without rushing to solve it? Can we disagree without making the other person wrong? Can a group think together, rather than take turns talking? That curiosity has carried him through complexity and systems thinking, psychology and therapy, philosophy, and relational practices. It has also taken him to unusual places. He spent six days in complete darkness, explored non ordinary states of consciousness through different traditions, and hosted a video podcast about death for three years.

Before all this, Olivier spent fifteen years in the corporate world managing global HR projects, including twelve years in Ireland, the UK, and Dubai. Then he burned out, which changed the direction of his life more than any training ever did. Over the years he has collected enough coaching certifications (ICF-PCC, ORSCC) and other credentials to paper over a decent-sized wall. He now works with teams, leaders, and individuals willing to enter messy, uncertain territory, stay long enough to understand it, find what becomes possible, and have fun. Olivier serves in English and French. To learn more about the company he founded, visit Intangible Work.
